My career began in the Royal Albert Hospital, temporary Band 2 Clerical Officer on 4th March 1985. I am professional qualified and a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and have an MBA from Hull University. I have worked in local regional and national roles in my career and proud to be an NHS employee.

I like coming to work/my role because…
My role is varied and complex and I believe commissioning is one of the hardest jobs in the NHS, but one that can make a difference. I work with dedicated clinicians and staff to improve care and outcomes for patients, that’s why I enjoy the role.

Outside of work I…
Outside of work I have 2 daughters, both pursing NHS careers, one in Newcastle, the other as a student nurse. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats so I spend a lot of free time dog walking, keeping fit, reading and occasionally taking a few photographs.
